Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War) 8:53
ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللّهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِّعْمَةً أَنْعَمَهَا عَلَى قَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
This, because God would never change the blessings with which He has graced a people unless they change their inner selves: and [know] that God is all-hearing, all-seeing.
Ar-Ra'd (The Thunder) 13:11
لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِّن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوءًا فَلاَ مَرَدَّ لَهُ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَالٍ
[thinking that] he has hosts of helpers-both such as can be perceived by him and such as are hidden from him - that could preserve him from whatever God may have willed. Verily, God does not change men's condition unless they change their inner selves; and when God wills people to suffer evil [in consequence of their own evil deeds], there is none who could avert it: for they have none who could protect them from Him.
If you feel down and depressed it's probably because you are capable of so much more and you know it.
Everything in the universe around us is either growing or dying.
You're either growing or dying. Stagnation does not exist in the universe.

Laziness
Imam Ali (AS) said, 'The bane of success is laziness.'
Imam Ali (AS) said, 'A believer desires that which stays, and renounces that which perishes .... his laziness is far from him and his energy is constant.' [renounces - rejects, denies]
Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Laziness corrupts one's Hereafter.'
Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Whoever obeys slackness will lose rights.'
Imam Ali (AS) said, 'From slackness comes laziness.' [slackness - negligence, carelessness]
Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Combat slackness with firm will.'
Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Delaying work is the title for laziness.'
Imam al-Baqir (AS) said, 'Laziness harms both one's religion [i.e., the Hereafter] and this world.'
Imam al-Baqir (AS) said, 'I hate a man - or I hate for a man - to be lazy in his worldly affairs, and whoever is lazy in his worldly affairs will be lazier in his affairs of the Hereafter.'
Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'The enemy of work is laziness.'
Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said to some of his children, 'Beware of becoming lazy and bored, for they will both forbid you from your share in this world and the Hereafter.'
Sukoon Muhal Hai Qudrat Ke Kaarkhane Mein
Sabat Aik Taghiyur Ko Hai Zamane Mein
Quiescence is difficult in the universe
Only change is permanent in the universe
Woh Mard-e-Mujahid Nazar Ata Nahin Mujh Ko
Ho Jis Ke Rag-e-Pay Mein Faqt Masti-e-Kirdar
Alas! my eyes do not behold the holy knight whose fervour high
May cause his blood to seethe and boil in veins that lend such might to thigh.
[Laziness is not a personality disorder. It's just a habit.
Laziness is a health red flag, not a character flaw.]

Soul‐invigorating wine is the Love of the human race
It has taught me to remain ecstatic without the wine cup and the pitcher
Mohabbat Hi Se Payi Hai Shafa Bimaar Qoumon Ne
Kiya Hai Apne Bakht-e-Khufta Ko Baidar Qoumon Ne
Sick nations have been cured only through Love
Nations have warded off their adversity through Love
Byaban-e-Mohabbat Dasht-e-Ghurbat Bhi, Watan Bhi Hai
Ye Wairana Qafas Bhi, Ashiyana Bhi, Chaman Bhi Hai
The expanse of Love is at once foreign land and homeland
This wilderness is the cage, the nest, as well as the garden
Mohabbat Hi Woh Manzil Hai Ke Manzil Bhi Hai, Sehra Bhi
Jaras Bhi, Karwan Bhi, Rahbar Bhi, Rahzan Bhi Hai
Love is the only stage which is the stage as well as the wilderness
It is the bell, the caravan, the leader as well as the robber
Marz Kehte Hain Sub Iss Ko, Ye Hai Lekin Marz Aesa
Chupa Jis Mein Ilaj-e-Gardish-e-Charakh-e-Kuhan Bhi Hai
Everybody calls it an illness, but it is such an illness
In which the cure for all ills and misfortunes is concealed
Jalana Dil Ka Hai Goya Sarapa Noor Ho Jana
Ye Parwana Jo Souzan Ho To Shama-e-Anjuman Bhi Hai
The heart’s pathos in a way is to become embodiment of Light
If this moth burns it is also the assembly’s candle
